Meet Marcy
I’m Marcy, owner of Down by the River Curtains. This business started about 5 years ago when I found myself suddenly a single mother to my two very young daughters. My mom presented me with the perfect opportunity: working for her business making window covers for Mercedes Sprinter vans. My mom taught me to sew when I was 4 years old. She knew this would be great for me. I was able to work from my apartment while staying home with my girls. I set my sewing machine up in the master closet so that I could work at night when the kids were sleeping and not wake them up. Things went so well that first year that my mom and I decided I should venture out on my own making covers for Transits and Promasters. It was a little rocky at first, figuring out the patterns and getting the word out. My customers have been instrumental in getting Down by the River Curtains off the ground. Helping me get the patterns ready, testing out the prototypes and offering lots of feedback. And so much support in the form of encouraging words and wonderful online reviews. Those reviews and social media shout outs really got things going. This business has been a dream come true for me. I take tremendous pride in the quality of my craftsmanship and get so much joy out of my work.

SECURELY FASTENED
All window covers and screens are held in place with super strong magnets. They are very easy to put up, take down and stow. The curtains will easily fold up for storage.
COLORS
The curtains are available in either grey or black.
COMPATIBILITY
The windshield and front door covers as well as every style of mosquito screen can be used on both the cargo vans and passenger wagons. All of the curtains are available for the cargo vans.
1000 DENIER CORDURA
Cordura is an extremely durable waterproof nylon fabric with a polyurethane coating. It can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
BLACK DIAMOND PATTERN RIPSTOP NYLON
The covers are lined with a black diamond patterned 400 denier ripstop nylon. They can be removed partially for light or visibility. The window as well as the door can be opened with these covers in place.They are reversible and can be used with either side facing in.
TEMPTROL
Temptrol is a very thin and lightweight breathable, puncture and tear resistant and washable. It blocks nearly all of the light and 95% of the radiant heat. And because it is breathable, it will prevent condensation on the windows.
